There is a small article about "Guest Conductors" coming to the MMS to listen to the 7th and 8th graders. Read the article on page 3. Mr. Root told the 7th and 8th grade girls basketball team members that if they didn't attend or were late that they would fail band and would be ineligible to play ball. The coaches and asst. Principal/Athletic Dir said that the girls could play without reprecussions. Just show up when they were done. Since Mr. Root is being a butt about the whole thing, the asst principal is denying he ever said anything. WIMP!! Fortunatly, my child is not effected by this and I already know that Mr. Valla, the orchestra teacher, told the girls b-ball members to not worry. They would not get penialized. Bravo, Mr. Valla!!
